The Videonale is one of the most important and renowned festivals for video art in Germany and Europe and shows current artistic positions every two years.

The VIDEONALE.19 exhibition shows 27 video artworks by artists from 20 countries, selected from 1989 submissions by an international jury of experts. The exhibition can be seen from March 31 to May 14, 2023 at Kunstmuseum Bonn and is accompanied by a diverse festival program in the museum and in the city of Bonn.

This year, the exhibition catalog also serves as an exhibition guide. It provides information about the individual rooms and the positions visible in them. The catalog contains a foreword by Tasja Langenbach (artistic director) and Annette Ziegert (curatorial director festival program), texts by the Videonale team and the jury on the 27 artistic works and a reflection on exhibition architecture for moving images by Ruth Lorenz.
